Audio Panel

The Audio section sits inside the Creator parameter panel, where you see and shape audio reactivity for whatever shader is loaded. This page covers what’s in it and what each read-out means.

If audio capture hasn’t started yet, the section shows a prompt instead of controls: “Start audio capture to enable modulation.” If capture is running but nothing is routed to this shader, it prompts “Route audio to enable modulation.” Either way, there’s nothing to configure until a live signal is reaching RENDERWAVE. Start with Audio input.

The AUDIO section header carries a badge showing how many of this shader’s parameters currently have an audio assignment. A badge of three means three parameters are taking audio right now. No badge means nothing is currently assigned, even if audio is live.

Once a signal is live, the section opens into four rows:

  • Profile: three buttons, Safe, Balanced, or Wild, that switch the overall reactivity feel for this shader in one tap. Safe stays restrained with lower peaks for a live-safe response, Balanced is the default performance profile, and Wild pushes the strongest response the shader can give without breaking up.
  • Amount: a slider from 0 to 1 controlling how much audio drives the assigned parameters overall.
  • Speed: a slider from 0.05 to 2 controlling how fast that reactivity moves.
  • Hit Count: a row of buttons (32, 16, 8, 4, 2, 1, 0.5) that set how often a hit-triggered assignment actually fires, from triggering on every qualifying hit down to only a fraction of them.

These four controls shape every audio assignment on the shader at once. Individual parameter assignments (which band drives which control, and how) are covered in Per-parameter modulation.

Every parameter card in the PARAMETERS section carries a small dot next to its name. When that parameter has an audio assignment, the dot takes on the color of the band driving it and brightens in real time as the signal moves, so you can watch a control react without staring at the visual itself. The card’s slider also shifts to that band’s color while the assignment is active. A card with nothing assigned shows a dim, uncolored dot.

By default, expanding a parameter card shows a compact summary: the current band/mode assignment (if any), a Range slider, and a couple of quick action buttons. The full SOURCE grid, band buttons grouped by category, each with a small bar that fills and glows in real time as that band’s signal moves, only appears once you turn on Show Advanced Modulation (a toggle at the bottom of the PARAMETERS section). With it on, tap a band to assign it, tap the same one again to turn the assignment off.

Watching the bands react live beats guessing from a label, so this is the fastest way to pick a source that matches the part of the track you want to follow.
